About SEMPL

The seminar of media trends SEMPL is an established international educational event and indeed the central media and communications event in the region. It pools and transmits know-how on media, media strategies and planning, and the impact of communication technologies on the development of the communication business.
After sucessfully finished decade, 11th SEMPL is again organised by the main media buying company in Slovenia, Media Pool, headed by Milena Fornazarič.
SEMPL is divided into education and competition programmes. The education programme features numerous outstanding foreign and Slovenian experts who highlight and forecast global communication trends and their reflections in practice.
The SEMPL programme avoids mere theorising, instead it endeavours to give all the participants applicable knowledge and skills that are useful for media experts as well as researchers and advertisers.
SEMPL actively strives to:
- Bring new knowledge crucial to the work of media strategists and planers in the era of integrated communication
- Facilitate the exchange of know-how and practical experience between the media and advertising environments
- Further and integrate communication knowledge with the latest findings in new technologies, psychology and marketing
- Evaluate in expert terms the ingenuity and efficiency of media strategies
- Facilitate the personal exchange of opinions and socialising between guests, participants, representatives of key communications organisations and companies in the region
- Forecast, interpret and critically evaluate trends
- (Re)value the role of the media strategist in advertising, the corporate sector and society in general
